Let Your Blood Run

When you face the fear of the blank page
Cut open your heart
Let your blood run
A bloody page tells a better story than a blank one

Don’t let it dry
Keep it dripping

Until end’s time
When your reader cannot distinguish it from his own.

  1. Now, that’s bittersweet!

  2. Awesome advice and a new way of thinking… it’s the vulnerability that makes the difference.

  3. I love your notion of oneness and passion – beautiful.

  4. Like it even more second time around.

  5. Writing if always more profound when ripped from the heart and gut.

  6. Ohhhh yes, now this is something I can relate to. Some of the greatest things in the world have come through the constricting hands of torment and I have always been drawn to such harshness. There is nothing ever wrong with a blood red canvas. Well done!

  7. In a way this could almost be structured to be a haiku. Unique. Thanks for checking out my page.

  8. Wow. Really like this. Such an intense image and great advice. I tend to pour my heart and soul to the page.
    Now following.

  9. Freaking LOVE LOVE THIS!!! You GO girl! 🙂

  10. Excellent poem! I find that usually my own best writing is done in the way you describe here.
